A: One word: accountability. Being accountable to someone other than yourself to hit your weekly word or page count is an extremely powerful motivator.
Q: I work better with a gentle push instead of a kick. Is your book coaching “one size fits all?”
A: Each coaching program is tailored to your specific writing personality and your needs. We’ll figure out together what keeps you going and keep doing it.
Q: How is a book coach different from an editor?
A: An editor helps you bring your writing to the next level. A coach helps you generate the book so you have something to edit. (We offer editing, too.)
Q: Is book coaching expensive?
A: Book coaching is a relatively small investment with a huge payoff—the joy and satisfaction of getting your book done.
Q: If I’m not happy with my coaching program, can I stop?
A: Coaching is offered in blocks of 6 weeks. If you’re not happy after the first six weeks, you can stop.
Q: Can I email or text my coach in between weekly sessions for support, encouragement, and feedback?
A: Absolutely. Support between meetings is included in every coaching package.
Q: How long will it take me to finish my book?
A: We’ll develop a writing schedule that works with your schedule and a completion date you can comfortably achieve.
