And the most compelling scenes unfold in the writer’s mind long before they come to light on the silver screen. Writing a successful screenplay requires a very particular set of skills—fortunately, these can be taught. In Screenwriting—Movie Magic Made Simple you will learn the craft of screenwriting, including story development, dialogue, description, and proper formatting. You will also learn what genre your work fits into, the difference between a synopsis and a treatment, how to create a killer log line, and the art of pitching. It doesn’t matter if you’ve ever written a screenplay or not; this class meets each writer at his or her level of experience and takes them to the next.
