You know, LOVE is also a four letter word. But so is FEAR. Many people fear love because it makes them WEAK. It only leaves them wanting MORE. Four. That’s how many letters it takes to spell the word that is used to qualify an amount of murders only beat by blaming it on God.
HATE. There is a thin line between love and hate and many people straddle that line.
LIFE is only what you make of it, but how can you MAKE anything without the four letters it takes to create the word? The life that is made when a baby is born is sentenced to playing a mandatory GAME with love as the prize. GIFT. That is what everybody claims life is: a gift meant to be treasured. But if life is a gift, how can it also be a game in which we are all forced to play?
PLAY. That’s what we do in order to start something that’s been put on pause, we press play. Or we get played. If our lives are put on pause because we allowed ourselves to get played, then it is also up to us to be the ones to press play once again.
KNOW. Not the opposite of yes, but the act of having knowledge. If we know that life is not just a highway, as Rascal Flatts once told us, but both a gift and game, then what we do with that knowledge is the key to unlocking our full potential, and living our best lives.
HOPE is what we have. We hope that the people we trust won’t let us down.
CARE. We care for them in efforts to convince them to do the same.
DARK. We let them lead us out of the dark and into a lighter and brighter future.
BEST. If we have love we are allowing ourselves to not only trust those we love to be there for us, but also allow ourselves to remain calm knowing that they have our best interests at heart.
LOVE. The cause of death if messed with, but the reason for living if treasured.
